Summary: The IT Support Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining all technology systems throughout the Association. This includes mobile IT support, new employee setup, network maintenance, camera systems, weekly equipment spot checks, and ensuring proper inventory control. The specialist will also oversee the functionality and troubleshooting of Jonas POS printers and other business-critical technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Provide on-site and remote support for mobile devices, tablets, and laptops used by staff.
· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
· Assist staff with applications, connectivity, and mobile access to systems.
· Set up accounts, email, hardware, and access for new employees.
· Ensure users have correct permissions and security settings per role.
· Provide basic IT orientation and support materials.
· Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity issues across departments.
· Maintain secure Wi-Fi networks for staff and members.
· Ensure all security camera systems are operational and archiving properly.
· Assist in reviewing and retrieving footage as necessary.
· Conduct weekly checks of IT equipment across all departments (offices, restaurants, pro shops, etc.).
· Maintain accurate records of all hardware, software, and consumables.
· Track IT inventory to prevent loss, manage upgrades, and prepare for seasonal changes.
· Update asset management logs and report on missing/damaged items.
· Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Jonas POS systems, including receipt and kitchen printers.
· Coordinate with Jonas support for updates, issues, or configuration changes.
· Ensure seamless POS operations during high-traffic hours.
· Assist with planning and execution of IT projects (system upgrades, expansions, etc.).
· Document IT procedures and maintain manuals for staff use.
· Coordinate with vendors and service providers when necessary.
· Provide after-hours support as needed for events or emergencies.
· On-site role with occasional off-hours support.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in IT support, preferably in hospitality or retail environments.
· Strong understanding of networks, POS systems, and hardware maintenance.
· Experience with Jonas Encore Club Software is a plus.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field. 5+ years in IT support.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
